More Magic in Penn Hills

More Magic in the Middle, CIS' 21st Century funded after-school program at Linton Middle School in Penn Hills works with over 100 students each year providing students in STEM and enrichment opportunities.Students are exposed to a range of activities that expand and reinforce the concepts they're taught during the school day.STEM teacher Tiffany Smith added, “They're able to learn new things. They're able to reinforce things they learned during the school day,” Smith said. “Our key focuses were math and reading, but they're able to get other enrichment activities. One time we had African dance and drumming. They do art and get three hours of enrichment. All the adults here are helping them (with) three more hours of learning and growth."Read more here.
