Rhythm and Culture on Thursdays: African Drumming Program at Sto- Rox School District

Every Thursday, Sto-Rox School District comes alive with the vibrant sounds of African drumming! This enriching afterschool program is more than just music, it’s a journey into the heart of African culture, heritage, and tradition. Through each beat, students learn not only how to play the drums but also about the deep-rooted significance of each instrument in African culture.

The program is divided by grade level, with primary students joining from 3:30-4:15 PM and upper students from 4:30-5:15 PM. During each session, students explore rhythm, teamwork, and cultural expression, building confidence and learning the art of drumming. For these young musicians, it’s a joyful way to connect with a culture that spans generations.

PACS is proud to bring cultural learning opportunities like this to the community, enriching students’ lives through meaningful afterschool programming.

🎶🌍 Join the rhythm of our Thursdays at Sto Rox and witness how music builds bridges!
