Hoops, Community, and Impact: A Recap of the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for CURE

This past weekend, the community came together for an unforgettable day of basketball and community spirit at the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for Cure. Hosted by our Cure Violence McKees Rocks team, the tournament brought together players, families, and supporters for a day of fun and friendly competition.

A Day of Basketball and Community

With a great turnout, teams battled it out on the court, showcasing skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Beyond the game, the event highlighted the importance of positive community engagement. Youth participants had the opportunity to connect with mentors, learn about local resources, and be part of something bigger than basketball.

Attendees enjoyed giveaways, free t-shirts, and food & drinks, making the day even more special. The event echoed an important message: SHOOT HOOPS, NOT PEOPLE, a reminder of the power of sports to bring people together and promote peace.

Thank You to Our Community

A huge thank you to all the players, volunteers, and organizers who made this event a success. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this day possible and look forward to continuing to build stronger, safer communities.

We can’t wait for the next tournament, see you on the court!
