Communities in Schools Announces New President & CEO

Communities in Schools is excited to announce the new president and CEO of the national organization. Former CIS Alumnus Rey Saldaña has been named to this position.Previously, Saldaña attended Stanford University, where he received his bachelor’s in political science and communication. After Stanford, Saldaña ran and was elected to the San Antonio City Council at the age of 24.His background in education, policymaking, and advocacy will allow him to showcase his leadership in this role.Communities in Schools Pittsburgh-Allegheny County is excited for this new direction and leadership at the national level.
